Content retention depends on the account profile. The Free profile applies these maximum service lifecycles:
- Raw MIME and attachments: 72 hours.
- Sanitized text and HTML: 7 days.
- Message metadata: 30 days.
Security hashes, decisions, reason codes, aggregate metrics and action receipts may remain after content expires where needed for safety, audit, legal obligations, dispute resolution or agreement enforcement. They do not preserve the expired raw message body or attachments. Customers must export content they need to retain longer.

We apply technical and organizational measures intended to protect data against unauthorized access, misuse, or disclosure. No system is completely risk-free, but we continuously improve our controls.
